We record with a Neumann mic on Logic Pro in our house. When we do live videos, we use a Canon Vixia, and the little mic on that is what picks up our voices. That little mic sounds nothing like it would if you were actually in our living room when we record -- it can't pick up the full dynamic range, and everything is always out of balance because someone is always closer to or farther from the mic. Our piano never sounds right either -- in real life it sounds warm and rich, on the camera mic it sounds like a small piano that's been beat to death for years.
